This is a representative list of recent employment and experience, reflecting expertise/practice in the areas of Tax Accounting, Management, and Information Technology. It does not include many older positions in the printing industry and with supervisory experience. Volunteer Tax Counseling

PATH (2012 - 2016)

Tax Preparer and Quality Reviewer: Prepared individual tax returns, reviewed other tax returns for quality, and provided tax counseling to clients. Certified at the Advanced level and to prepare specialty returns including Health Savings Accounts, and for Foreign Students, Military, and International returns.

Tax-Aide (2014-2016)

Counselor: Prepared individual tax returns, reviewed other tax returns for quality, and provided tax counseling to clients. Certified at the Advanced Level.

Prepared federal and state income tax returns for individuals using Lacerte during my final semester at UT Tyler.

Management

Copy Center Manager/Printer

The University of Texas Health Science Center of Tyler (May 1997 - March 2008)

Managed the overall day-to-day operations of Printing Services and Copier Services. Operate copiers as needed. Maintains inventory of paper and supplies for the Copy Center and approximately 50 campus copiers. Replace copier units, make minor repairs and refers problems to Xerox Technicians. Served as primary resource for PrintSmith print pricing and bookkeeping software. Design and develop databases and documentation for Supply Chain Operations and other departments. Provides time and cost estimates for printing projects. Operates all prepress, printing, and bindery equipment as needed to produce single to 4-color process printing. Maintains all printing equipment and does minor repairs on equipment, ordering and installing parts. I started as printer and although the job title never changed, I continously took on new responsibilities. Some other areas I worked included proofreading, managing the pricing software, setting up an internal Sharepoint website for the department, and problem-solving inventory control and other issues. Some of the other skills I developed in the field included graphic design technical knowledge, including passing the Adobe Certified Expert exams. I later succeeded to supervisor responsibilities, made major improvements to production and inventory control, and acquired stores responsibility of managing hospital forms inventory. Later I was asked to develop Access databases for other departments as time permitted.

Manager, Owner

Bob's Golf Discs (October 1998 - March 2003)

Managed a small home/course business selling golf discs and supplies to area disc golfers. Sponsored numerous disc golf tournaments in Tyler and Athens, including the East Texas Open/Paul Giles Memorial disc golf tournaments from 2001 to 2003, all of which had overflowing fields. Closed the business due to excessive overtime requirements at UTHSCT at the time.
